With a conception of "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing", Airwolf is a long-range supersonic multifunctional helicopter. Airwolf has an aerodynamic lifting body with twin turbine driven rotor system capable of propelling it to 300 knots. The jet chopper can disengage its rotor system and ignite the traditional turbine. That is to say, when the aircraft is to increase speed from sea-level to 85,000 feet, the rotary-wing device is stopped and the two turbos (auxiliary turbojet engines on both sides of the body) are activated. 9.6 seconds after ignition, Airwolf can exceed Mach 1 from sea level to 65,000 feet. And it can also decrease speed shortly by reversing propulsion or releasing a dragchute from the tail boom
